The Idea

A clock for the place you'd rather be

The planet is carved into 24 time zones, which means at every moment of every day, somewhere is hitting quitting time. (It's a real fact of geography — we wrote up the whole story of the saying.) A time zone clock makes that idea permanent: one glance and you know exactly what hour it is in the city you can't stop thinking about.

People hang them for a hometown across the ocean, a daughter studying abroad, the beach town from last summer, or simply the spot on the map where the umbrella drinks are already flowing. Whatever your somewhere is, we'll put it on your wall.

Yes — every clock is made to order, so any city in any time zone works. If you don't see your city listed as an option, message us through the Etsy listing and we'll set it up.

Is it personalized? ▼

Each clock is customized with the city of your choice. Have something special in mind — a nickname for the city, a specific style? Reach out via Etsy before ordering and we'll see what we can do.

Does it handle daylight saving time? ▼

The clock is a real analog wall clock, so like any clock it's adjusted manually — twice a year if your chosen city observes daylight saving. Cities that skip DST (Honolulu, Phoenix, Tokyo…) never need touching.

How long does it take to arrive? ▼

Every clock is made to order, so build and shipping times vary — the Etsy listing always shows the current estimate for your location.

Is this a good gift? ▼

It's a genuinely personal one — a clock set to someone's hometown, their honeymoon city, or the place they're moving away from tends to land harder than another candle. Housewarmings, retirements, and going-away parties are the sweet spot.
